Hello All,

I am finally getting my act together on this blog and making an attempt at posting something meaningful.  I really think this will be a nice resource to have a central site to go to for updates and sharing of insights and just another place where hopefully we can stay in touch especially with those of the quorum who are unable to attend on Sundays.  Anyone can contribute with comments so please do.  Also, look for an e-mail with Tim's detailed instructions on how to create an account so you can contribute to the blog.  I have posted the updated lesson schedule for the remainder of the year below and will send by e-mail also. 

Just a few quick thoughts on the next two lessons out of the manual which are on the priesthood.   Elder Uchtforf made the point in his talk titled "Your Potential, Your Privilege" that we need to:

"become experts in the doctrines of the gospel—especially the doctrine of the priesthood."

He emphasized studying the doctrines of the priesthood and reviewing Sections 20, 84, 107, and 121 of the Doctrine and Covenants so that the spirit can then teach us how to access the power of the priesthood to bless our families, our communities, and the Church.  He also said, "We live beneath our privileges when we allow worldly anchors to keep us away from the abundant joy that comes from faithful and dedicated priesthood service, especially within the walls of our own homes." 

As we study the priesthood in quorum and what President Smith has to teach I hope we can realize what a privilege it truly is to hold the priesthood and seek opportunities to use our priesthood for the blessing of others.
